Week 10 Power Rankings!
Kind of a lopsided slate of games this past week, but we got a lot more clarity on the playoff races. Has it ever been almost assured which four teams are staying home with three weeks to go? The other eight have lots of jockeying to do as they prepare for what should be an exciting postseason!
In need of a miracle
12. Doctor Dilaudid
Record: 2-8; Last Week: 12
The Doctor’s free fall continues and they find themselves all but mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. They do get a few chances to help keep a couple of fellow troubled teams home with them, starting with the Stars next week.
11. Bad Bad Victorcat
Record: 2-8; Last Week: 11
After showing a few signs of life in the middle of the season, the Victorcats have watched the wheels come off the bus with three awful performances in a row. Their remote playoffs hopes are still alive, but only if they can beat the Schmuckernators next week. Does this cornered Cat have enough fight left?
10. Cupcakes of DOOM!
Record: 3-7; Last Week: 10
The Cupcakes have managed to hang around the playoff hunt despite a roster containing little more than soggy tissues and scotch tape. They were unable to give themselves a realistic chance at the playoffs this week, however, with a demoralizing loss to the Schmucks. Can they rebound against the suddenly resurgent Z’s?
9. ★
Record: 3-7; Last Week: 9
Let’s see; the Stars played three players on bye, had a fourth (the TE) do nothing, and still nearly pulled off the victory. Despite their struggles this year, there is talent on this roster, and they still will have a chance to affect the playoff seeding, with matchups against the top two teams over the final two weeks.

8. The Schmuckernators
Record: 4-6; Last Week: 8
Huge win gives the Schmucks a bit of breathing room in their playoff chase – with their advantage in points, they effectively have a 1.5 game lead over the nearest competition with only three to play. One more win, and they should be in.
7. Minions
Record: 6-4; Last Week: 6
The Minions collapse continues. Okay, so they got the win, but only because of fortuitous circumstances. Unless they can rekindle their early season magic, it looks like they’ll be a quick out come the first round of the playoffs.
6. Z Power
Record: 5-5; Last Week: 7
Now that’s more like what we’ve been expecting! The Z’s march into a matchup with the hottest team in the league and win easily. They suddenly look like a very dangerous team with the best 1-2 RB combo in the league, a solid QB, and capable – if inconsistent – WRs. Are we looking at this year’s lower division team that catches fire and is unstoppable at the end of the year?
5. Left Hand Strangers
Record: 6-4; Last Week: 5
The Strangers came up a bit short in their first meeting with top-notch competition since the Fat Cats way back in week 5. They can still make things interesting with a victory against the Sheep next week, a real possibility that would almost certainly lock them into either the 4 or 5 seed.
In and looking good
4. A Sheep at the Wheel
Record: 7-3; Last Week: 4
It wasn’t the most balanced effort – I mean, can you really expect Vick to be legendary the rest of the year? – but the Sheep got the win and now control their own destiny for a top three seed. Three victories, and they even have an outside shot at finishing first in the regular season for the third year in a row, though they’ll need quite a bit of help to jump both of the two in front of them.
3. Fat Cats
Record: 6-4; Last Week: 1
For one week at least, the Cats looked mortal. The loss was extremely damaging to their hopes of finishing with the top seed, however, since they now face a two game deficit (and a rapidly shrinking overall points lead) with only three games left.
2. The Hot Showers
Record: 8-2; Last Week: 3
Strong effort against a weak opponent. Having to figure out which starters to choose because nearly everyone is performing well is not the worst problem to have, and the depth on this roster could pay dividends in the event of late season injuries. They still haven’t demonstrated the firepower of other certain top contenders, but their consistency is hard to match.
1. Cool Runnings
Record: 8-2; Last Week: 2
The Runnings claim both the number one spot in the power and real rankings with a dominant performance against a pretty good team. They have been on a tear as of late, scoring over 100 in five straight games. Up next: the biggest game of the season against the Showers, a showdown that very well could determine the overall number one seed.

Good thing I was up at 3:50 am to read the newest rankings hot off the press. I'll be sure not to mention to the next patient in the ER how terrible a virtual doctor I am. Thanks for the weekly updates, Danny. They are a bright light in the darkness of working nights this month.
I knew there was a reason to stay up late and post this!
