URK: Week 10

Week 10 Power Rankings
This week, the playoff picture became a little clearer and a little muddier at the same time. Bad news first: the bottom three are now on their final legs with little chance of making the playoffs barring a sweep the rest of the way. That’s good news for all but one of the other nine, but where teams will end up (other than the Blitzers, of course) is still quite undecided. Note the trade deadline is this week, for last chances to do anything more than minor tinkering with your roster!
12. Minions
Record: 2-8; Last week’s ranking: 12
Put forth their second best effort of the season but still came up short against a hot team. They do get a matchup with the Cactus next week – a win there gives them a shot at moving out of the basement.
11. Cactus!! WATCH OUT!!
Record: 3-7; Last week’s ranking: 11
Another extremely poor showing from a team that’s completely lost its bearings the last few weeks. At this point, it looks like they’ll have to be content staying at home over the holidays.
10. Baby Daddy Buller
Record: 3-7; Last week’s ranking: 10
Just like the Minions, put up their second best effort of the season but it wasn’t enough. It will take a huge turnaround to sneak into the playoffs now.
9. Blinder Squirrels
Record: 4-6; Last week’s ranking: 9
The Squirrels came up huge in a game they absolutely needed to remain alive in the playoff hunt. Now comes another good test this week to see if they can build on their efforts.
8. The Schmuckernators
Record: 4-6; Last week’s ranking: 8
Big win – third in a row – to put themselves in a less precarious position the rest of the way. This team will be absolutely dangerous come playoff time.
7. Clay Davis All-Stars
Record: 4-6; Last week’s ranking: 7
Dominating win to snap out of their two-week tailspin. The Minions were exactly what they needed to get well.
6. Granite Daisies
Record: 5-5; Last week’s ranking: 5
Tough defeat in a game it looked like they should win. No need to panic, but they probably do need to win at least one more game to assure themselves of a playoff spot.
5. Cupcakes of Doom!
Record: 6-4; Last week’s ranking: 6
Great win to gain some momentum for their upcoming showdown with the Blitzers. After a fast start this year, they’ve dropped off a bit but are still lurking in the hunt to move up as high as the two seed.
4. Fat Cats
Record: 6-4; Last week’s ranking: 3
.The inconsistency continues for our overall points leader. The good news is they won’t play a team with a winning record the rest of the season, so they have a strong chance to rebound and move back up.
3. Kenny Gee Willikers
Record: 7-3; Last week’s ranking: 2
Bad loss after a couple of strong weeks. They’re lucky to still have a one game lead in the race for second place, but there are now three teams right behind, each of whom currently owns the tiebreaker over the Wilikers.
2. Cool Runnings
Record: 6-4; Last week’s ranking: 4
Strong performance for a team that’s now won 5 of it’s last 6. They seem to have survived their rough start and are looking more dangerous each week.
1. Ritzy Blitzers
Record: 10-0; Last week’s ranking: 1
The magical run continues. With the win, the Blitzers lock up first place with three weeks to go – an amazing feat.
