URK: Week 6

Week 6 Power Rankings
After last week’s ups and downs, there is a lot more stability this week – the teams that were supposed to win pretty much did other than the Minions surprising domination of the All-Stars. Next week marks the halfway point, which is a great time to take stock of overall performances so far; until then, here’s how things stand.
Tier 3
12. Minions
Record: 2-4; Last week’s ranking: 12
Welcome back, Minions! A nice upset special is something to feel good about after weeks of mediocrity and worse.
11. Cactus!! WATCH OUT!!
Record: 2-4; Last week’s ranking: 11
A solid effort across the board, but simply lost to an even more complete team. At least they’re scoring again, which bodes well for the future.
10. The Schmuckernators

Record: 1-5; Last week’s ranking: 10
After the opening week, things could not have gone worse for the Schmuckernators. They now sit dead last in the standings, having lost 5 straight heartbreakers.
9. Clay Davis All-Stars
Record: 2-4; Last week’s ranking: 7
Fell apart this week, but it’s not an isolated incident. They are the only team in the league who has been unable to break 100 points in a week, a troubling sign.
Tier 2
8. Baby Daddy Buller

Record: 2-4; Last week’s ranking: 9
Stumble again after a couple of weeks of improved outcomes. But the new name is nice.
7. Blinder Squirrels
Record: 2-4; Last week’s ranking: 8
The Squirrels finally go off…and get pummeled by 80 points. A loss is a loss, but it was kind of a fluke to lose as the second highest scoring team this week.
6. Granite Daisies

Record: 3-3; Last week’s ranking: 5
How bad was it this week? They could have scored 4 times as many points as they did and still not beat the Cats. Brady came within 0.22 points (about 7 passing yards) of being able to single-handedly beat them. Oh, and they also lost to the team they actually played by over 75 points.
5. Cool Runnings

Record: 3-3; Last week’s ranking: 6
That makes two straight weeks of being on the right side of the blowout. After a rough start to the season, the Runnings are really finding their footing now.
Tier 1
4. Cupcakes of Doom!

Record: 4-2; Last week’s ranking: 4
Another nice win. Other than the Blitzers, the Cupcakes have been the most consistently good team in the league over the first half of the season.
3. Kenny Gee Willikers
Record: 5-1; Last week’s ranking: 3
They don’t always win pretty, but they’ve survived their worst bye weeks and have beaten every team in the upper half of the league except the one they face next week. Win, and they just might have a legitimate claim to being the first team ever to go from worst-to-first in these rankings in a single season.
2. Fat Cats

Record: 4-2; Last week’s ranking: 2
Well, that was pretty ridiculous. First ever 200+ point game in the URK, obliterating the 180 point record by the Blind Squirrels way back in ’07. The bar has been set.
1. Ritzy Blitzers
Record: 6-0; Last week’s ranking: 1
Snag another win to remain perfect, and likely become the first team to clinch a playoff spot – no team with more than 5 wins last year missed out. Now comes a showdown with one of the league’s other perennial powers, and with it, a chance to cement their grip on first place.

I feel like I should be a little higher in the power rankings as I am the only Kenwoodianite to reproduce.
That actually splits your worth in 1/2 sorry Brett :(
Yay! I'm no longer in my own tier for awfulness.
