Week 4 Power Rankings
And then there was one. One-quarter of the way through the season, we have no winless teams and only one unblemished squad. This week, we see a lot of movement in the rankings as things sort themselves out…but it’s still quite early to make too many judgments on where everyone will finish. Now, which teams will begin to assert themselves over the heart of the season?
Well, at least they’re not winless…
12. Minions
Record: 1-3; Last week’s ranking: 11
That week one victory sure seems like a long time ago. Sure, there are still a lot of games left in the season, but does anyone else get the sinking feeling that we’re looking at the fantasy equivalent of the 2001 Panthers?
11. BullerBezoarBonanza
Record: 1-3; Last week’s ranking: 12
Well, they did win the battle of the bottom two. They’ve actually performed better than their record shows, but they haven’t gotten the results until this week. It’s not too late to turn things around.
10. Clay Davis All-Stars
Record: 1-3; Last week’s ranking: 9
They ran up against a hot team this week, but didn’t put up a whole lot of fight, either. The lack of depth is really hurting this team right now.
9. Cool Runnings
Record: 1-3; Last week’s ranking: 8
A bland week without much firepower except from the QB and DEF. However, their recent trade might help spark the running game and given their depth at receiver was well worth a shot. We’ll see if it pays off.
Could be better, could be worse…
8. Kenny Gee Willikers
Record: 3-1; Last week’s ranking: 10
Nice win over the formerly best team in the league. They’re quite fortunate to be sitting as high in the standings as they are, but another few weeks like this one could prove they are legit.
7. Cactus!! WATCH OUT!!
Record: 2-2; Last week’s ranking: 5
Tough week, but they were missing a good chunk of their starting lineup to a bye week. The Cactus has a good chance of rebounding next week.
6. The Schmuckernators
Record: 1-3; Last week’s ranking: 3
Yet another defeat during a rough week. If the Schmucks don’t stop the bleeding next week, this could get ugly (-ier) fast.
5. Blinder Squirrels
Record: 2-2; Last week’s ranking: 7
Finally get another victory, and considering how shaky they’ve been to start the season, the Squirrels have to be feeling quite happy to be at .500. Maybe this win gives them a kick start they needed.
Livin’ the high life….
4. Fat Cats

Record: 2-2; Last week’s ranking: 6
A ton of points from an unheralded defense won the game, but the Cats also left a bunch of points on the bench, so the results is not completely unexpected. Now can they string together a second win in a row?
3. Cupcakes of Doom!
Record: 3-1; Last week’s ranking: 1
Take a tough loss while shorthanded, then they give up some running back depth in a gamble to improve the WR corps. Maybe not the greatest of weeks for the Cupcakes, but they’re still sitting in a good spot.
2. Granite Daisies

Record: 3-1; Last week’s ranking: 4
The Daisies keep looking good with another impressive win, even while surviving a couple of injured running backs and playing a kicker on a bye week. The Daises have rebounded quite nicely indeed from their week one disaster.
1. Ritzy Blitzers
Record: 4-0; Last week’s ranking: 2
Finally have the breakout game for which they’ve been waiting, and just in time for their move to the top of the league. And they’re a great bet to keep things rolling against a Brees-less Minions team next week. But let’s be critical: why on earth did they not play a sure-to-be motivated Favre at home against the Packers in the most hyped game of the season? They could have had scored in the 150s!

It's because I'm in five leagues and don't spend near enough time paying attention to my matchups from league to league, and can barely remember who I'm starting on each team, let alone who is on my bench :)
