URK 2011: Week 8 Power Rankings

Hey look! I'm on time this week! That deserves some kind of prize, I think.

Another fine week in the URK fantasy world! Two-thirds of the way through the regular season already – can you believe it? Highlights – the Cheeseburgers finally pin a loss on Z’s, but it’s not enough to dislodge the Z’s from the top spot yet, at least on most ballots. The Geese continue surging with one of their better efforts to take down the Sheep and now own the longest current win streak. The bottom fell out of the Jockstraps against SayHi’s, but it wasn’t held against them yet since everyone but the coach was on bye. The Schmucks held on by a mere 5 points over the suddenly meek SharkLions in the most exciting game of the week. The Rostrums snagged an ugly, but perfectly effective win over the Minions to continue their yo-yo efforts of late. And finally, the Cupcakes put the hurt on the fast fading Stars with their biggest effort of the season. Whew! Let’s keep it going!

Trade deadline in two weeks, for those teams not named the Minions. Are we really going to go the whole season without any trades? Oh, and 4 of you still haven’t voted for the midseason awards yet…consider this your last opportunity to get those in. I’ll plan to do the write up for that by this Sunday.
