URK 2011: Week 3 Power Rankings

Great week again, a number of close ones made it interesting. Gonna keep things short and to the point. Here we go!

12. Minions (Chris)

Last Week: 11
Average Ballot Position: 11.7

It’s looking like another long year in Minion-land.

11. SayHi2YourMother4Me (Kenan)
W-L: 1-2
Last Week: 12
Average Ballot Position: 10.8

Nice first win of the season for the SayHi’s. Now it appears top draft pick Foster is ready to go. Things are looking up for these guys, and they might just find themselves to be a mid-tier team when all is said and done.

10. Jehovah's Jockstrap (Brett)
W-L: 1-2
Last Week: 10
Average Ballot Position: 8.8

Another mediocre effort for these guys. No show Knowshon is killing them in the flex spot right now while lots of points sit on the bench.

9. The Schmuckernators (Jason)
W-L: 1-2
Last Week: 6
Average Ballot Position: 8.0

Well, that was embarrassing.

8. A Sheep at the Wheel (Jaron)
W-L: 1-2
Last Week: 8
Average Ballot Position: 7.5

The Sheep were in need of a nice solid win like that just to get their season going. Now they’d really like to keep the momentum going and get back to .500 with another good effort.

7. Obese Geese (Steve)
W-L: 2-1
Last Week: 9
Average Ballot Position: 7.2

Well, that was slightly better than embarrassing.

6. Cupcakes of DOOM! (Adam)
W-L: 1-2
Last Week: 5
Average Ballot Position: 7.0

A rough defeat in an otherwise solid week. They’ve been remarkably consistent for a team that didn’t project as such, so we’ll see if they can continue their string of strong performances.

5. Bacon Cheeseburgers (Andy K.)
W-L: 2-1
Last Week: 4
Average Ballot Position: 5.2

Horrific showing for a team that looked so good the week before. Got to think it’s just an aberration; they should bounce back. Maybe.

4. The Dyin' SharkLions (Danny)
W-L: 1-2
Last Week: 3
Average Ballot Position: 4.3

Yet another tough loss for the SharkLions who once again put up a good score but came up short against a better team. Their inconsistency (outside of Brady) has really hurt them in close games.

3. Rostrum Records (Luke)
W-L: 2-1
Last Week: 7
Average Ballot Position: 4.3

Great win for the team that’s been in more close games than anyone else thus far (granted, the sample size is just 3). All the right guys are stepping up for them even as certain stars struggle a bit. The next month’s round-robin against the best of the league should be interesting!

2. Stars (Dan)
W-L: 3-0
Last Week: 2
Average Ballot Position: 1.8 (1)

Strong win for the Stars. However, it came at great cost as they lost Britt, one of their key receivers, for the year. They can only hope to replace some of his scoring potential – just how deep is that bench?

Average Ballot Position: 1.3 (5)

Tremendous win for the Z’s as they rack up the high score of the week. Even Vick’s underperformance thus far hasn’t slowed them down. Now they look to keep rolling against a couple of bottom feeders the next two weeks.
