Week 10 Power Rankings
Week 10 Power Rankings
One of the best weeks of the season, although Brett’s Benzos BID might beg to differ. A whole slew of teams scored in the triple digits, though three of our league’s better teams weren’t anywhere close. And after the Cupcakes came up just short on the final drive of the Sunday night game, we had two come from behind victories on Monday night to make up for it. Now there are only three weeks left for some teams to fight out that last playoff spot. Also, last chance to pull off a blockbuster – the trade deadline is Wednesday.
1. The Home Pwners (Record 8-2, Standings: 1, Previous Week PR: 1)
Had their worst game of the season, and still managed to come away with the victory. What does that tell you?
2. The Schmuckernators (Record 8-2, Standings: 2, Previous Week PR: 2)
Nice win to bounce back after last week’s disaster. Now they have a big showdown next week with the Dngrs which will either straighten out the playoff seeding, or further muddle it.
3. The Dngrs Dngrs (Record 7-3, Standings: 3, Previous Week PR: 4)
Big win to get back on track after a three-game losing streak. Can they build on this momentum?
4. Cool Runnings (Record 6-4, Standings: 6, Previous Week PR: 3)
Wow, that wasn’t pretty. They left a lot of points on the bench and lost the chance to pull the upset. Now they might have trouble finishing in the top half of the standings.
5. Brett’s Benzos BID (Record 6-4, Standings: 5, Previous Week PR: 5)
Picked a bad week to be non-competitive. After a strong beginning to the season, they have looked very average over the last month.
6. Blind Squirrels (Record 6-4, Standings: 4, Previous Week PR: 6)
Monstrous effort after last week’s stumble. Now they get to measure their progress against a couple of the top teams in the league over the next few weeks.
7. Incomprehensibles (Record 6-4, Standings: 7, Previous Week PR: 7)
Great win for a team that had been struggling to score points over the last month. Now they’ve joined the glut of teams with 6-4 records, and have a decent chance to make a move upward.
8. Inglorious Bat Turds (Record 3-7, Standings: 9, Previous Week PR: 8)
Another tough loss for this unlucky team. Maybe they can right the ship against the Minions next week.
9. Fat Cats (Record 4-6, Standings: 8, Previous Week PR: 10)
Big come-from-behind victory to gain the upper hand in the playoff chase. Amazingly, they now control their own destiny, though winning out will require springing a few upsets.
10. Cupcakes of Doom! (Record 3-7, Standings: 10, Previous Week PR: 9)
Furious rally at the end, but come up just short. This was a tough defeat, but on the plus side, they closed the point differential which be important at the end.
11. Cactus. Look out! (Record: 2-8, Standings: 11, Previous Week PR: 11)
Even when they have a great showing, they still come up short. Next week, they have the opportunity to pull off the great upset of the season.
12. Minions (Record 1-9, Standings: 12, Previous Week PR: 12)
Tough loss for a team looking to build on the momentum from last week’s win. They’re starting to become more consistent, but the gaps in the lineup really have hurt this team from day one.
