Week 9 Power Rankings, 2012

Only 1 month to go in the regular season, and it seems that the league has settled into a bit of stasis. The top 3 teams have separated themselves, the next 5 are jockeying for position, and the bottom 4 are in need of a really strong 4 weeks to make the playoffs. At the top, Chalice leapt back over the PACs with their 4th straight outstanding performance; at this point, they are the clear favorite to snag the overall points title, and still control their own destiny for the number one overall seed. Also of note this week: the Minions pulled off a shocking upset over the Z’s for their first consecutive victories since weeks 10-11 of 2010 – almost 2 years ago! Somewhat amazingly, they remain in playoff contention, and might – might – even have an easy enough schedule to make it. Will there be any other November surprises?!
