From the Depths I Come

Lately it seems that I've been living under a rock. It's not like I dislike any of you fellows but I can't bring myself to use the dial-up at home and I try not to use the internet at work for non work-related things. Life is going reasonably well aside from the derth of easy internet access though. I leave for Canada tomarrow with my family for the next week where we'll be hitting up Stratford and Montreal among other places.

My AmeriCorps term ends in early September but I'll have my hours done a few weeks before that. It is unlikely that I will sign up for another year. I had been thinking about NCCC but aparently they lost their funding for next year and possibly indefinitely -- it's a shame really; it was a good program. On our way back from Montreal we'll be stopping at Yestermorrow Design Build School where I applied for an internship for next fall and possibly next winter. I'm also applying to PULSE for next year. Two days after we get back I'll be traveling to Pittsburgh to have interviews at a few places to see who, if anyone, would be interested in having me work for them for a year. By the end of this month I get the final word back from Yestermorrow and then I'll have to decide whether I'll be spending the coming months in urban Pensylvannia, rural Vermont, here, or somewhere else. In all honesty I don't know which I choose. I should have a better idea in about 2 weeks.

BTW Schertz lab got all new monitors and they are quite nice. At $275 I had to physically restrain myself from ordering one (or more).
