i use it. they now allow you to save and index your conversations automatically in your Gmail account where its searchable etc. as per jaron's suggestion. it should work seamlessly with AIM in not too long. it will then be perfect.
I am talking about the one that is directly in gmail, not google talk. But now one of my accounts has it. Seems decent. Too bad I always check my email early in the morning when no one else is awake.
